Timothy started his life in law as a legal assistant to one of Sydney’s eminent family law barristers. He was then an associate to a judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and then spent several years working as a solicitor practising in both commercial and family law. His final stop before coming to the bar was as an associate solicitor at a boutique family law firm.
Since coming to the bar, Timothy has appeared:
- Led and unled in the Supreme Court of NSW with a focus in equity, estates, and the corporations list;
- Appeared unled in the Full Court of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and each of its lower Courts; and
- Appeared unled in the District Court of NSW in civil matters.
Timothy’s practice areas include Family Law, matters in the Children’s Court, contested probate and family provision claims, equity, claims under the Criminal Assets Recovery Act, and commercial disputes including insolvency.
