Blair commenced work as a solicitor at a boutique Local Government and Planning law firm, where he appeared for Local Government agencies and private developers in environmental crime proceedings. He also appeared and assisted in Class 1 Appeals and Judicial Review proceedings at the Land and Environment Court.
Blair advised and assisted a Member of the NSW Parliament (current Minister for Local Government) in the preparation of complaints to the NSW Ombudsman, submissions on law reform and reports to the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
To sharpen his advocacy, Blair worked for various Judges of the District Court of New South Wales, including her Honour Judge Woodburne SC and his Honour Judge McHugh SC. At the Court, he gained a unique insight into the preparation and conduct of all stages of serious criminal proceedings.
Blair holds a Bacholer of Arts (with First Class Honours), a Masters (Law and Literature) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney.
