Prior to being called to the Bar, Edward practiced as a solicitor at Legal Aid NSW. Edward has also previously worked for an Aboriginal Legal Service in the Northern Territory, and Turner Freeman Lawyers in Sydney.

Edward holds a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney. He also holds a Bachelor of International and Global Studies from that University.
