Anne is a specialist criminal barrister who accepts briefs for the defence and the prosecution in criminal trials and appeals, and appears in coronial inquests and inquires. She also has extensive experience in personal injury, discrimination & human rights, and family provision matters. She is a member of the Legal Aid Specialist Barrister Panel (Complex Criminal Law) and the Criminal Appellate Panel. She was elected to the NSW Bar Council from 2006-2014, and served on the Executive as Honorary Secretary from 2011-2012. She sits as a member of the Legal Aid Review Committee, and is a member of the Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee and the Health & Wellbeing Committee. On 11 September 2015 she was the recipient of the inaugural 2015 Woman Lawyer of the Year Award (Women Lawyers Association Achievement Awards), for her outstanding contribution to the legal profession, and in particular her commitment to and support for women lawyers. Anne was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in 1986 prior to coming to the bar. Currently she is completing her Masters of Laws specialising in Human Rights & Social Justice, at UNSW.
